Two AA Rosettes awarded to Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin Hotel
Following a recent inspection by the AA, Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin Hotel in St Davids, Pembrokeshire has been awarded two AA Rosettes after just eight months open, under Head Chef Simon Coe.
Offering a menu influenced by the season and locality, with dishes designed to reflect Wales and its produce; Blas, which means “taste” in Welsh, will use ingredients sourced from predominately Pembrokeshire and Welsh suppliers, whenever possible.
“We are proud of the range and quality of produce available in Pembrokeshire and Wales and Blas will reflect this,” said Head Chef, Simon Coe. “I work closely with my team of chefs to create a sense of place for our guests and feel that using fresh and local produce makes the best ingredients. It is also extremely important to us to support local businesses and establish long term relationships with our suppliers in order to develop a reputation for quality.”
Twr y Felin Hotel is a former windmill that has been restored and extended and is now home to 21 rooms, including a suite which spans three floors and occupies the original windmill tower, boasting 360 degree views over the St Davids peninsula.
The hotel, which officially opened in March this year, features over 100 pieces of specially commissioned works of art inspired by Pembrokeshire, created by Welsh, British and international artists.
Twr y Felin is open daily for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and drinks and we welcome resident and non-resident guests alike. For our Roch Case and Penrhiw guests, complimentary evening transfers are available to and from Blas Restaurant for dinner.
