History

Built in 1806 as a working windmill, today Twr y Felin is Wales’ first contemporary art hotel, located in Britain’s smallest city, St Davids. Meticulously restored and extended, featuring contemporary design throughout which, contrasts beautifully with the unique characteristics of the historic building, the hotel is now home to 21 ensuite bedrooms, including two unique suites – the feature room ‘Tyddewi’ – a distinctive space occupying the site’s original windmill tower, which boasts spectacular 360 degree views of the St Davids Peninsula from its very own observatory.
